Clarence and his duo have work for New Deal Entertainment, Inc. on over 25 events this past year and we call him and his duo first for most every event requiring steel pan. Clarence hails from St. Martin, Netherlands Antilles near the British Virgin Islands. He’s been playing steel pan most of his life and his musical skills on the instrument are considerable. He and his partner have an extensive repertoire of classic steel pan tunes, well-known tropical hits and plenty of familiar popular music done in the infectious Caribbean style of Calypso. The group uses computerized rhythmic accompaniment for a full sound. While they are a great calypso and steel pan musicians they also have excellent professional habits with a positive and cooperative attitude. The special event like yours is their specialty. They’ll be glad to take direction from event management, are always on time, and have great equipment and appropriate tropical attire. They’d do a great job helping to set the mood for the day.
The duo have performed for New Deal Entertainment for such clients as Sarasota Yacht Club, Tampa Yacht Club, St. Petersburg Country Club, Don Cesar Beach Resort, Tampa Museum of Art, The Tampa Club, Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club in Sarasota, Northern Trust Bank, US Home, Ringling Museum of Art and countless private functions.
